“ABC” hits number one on the US Pop singles chart, replacing The Beatles

The Jackson 5’s second consecutive Hot 100 number one. “ABC” replaces The Beatles’ “Let It Be” at the summit and holds the position for two weeks, remaining on the chart for thirteen weeks in total. It also reaches number one on the Black singles chart, holding for four weeks across a twelve-week run.
