John Landis

John Landis (born 3 August 1950) is an American film director and screenwriter. He directed the 14-minute “Thriller” short film for Michael Jackson in 1983, which would become one of the most influential music videos ever made and helped redefine the format. He also directed the controversial “Black or White” video in 1991. His feature film credits include The Blues Brothers, An American Werewolf in London and Coming to America.
