Joe Jackson

Joseph Walter “Joe” Jackson (26 July 1928 – 27 June 2018) was the patriarch of the Jackson family of musicians. A former crane operator and amateur guitarist, he founded and managed the Jackson 5 and oversaw the early careers of his ten children, including Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. His coaching methods — later widely characterised as abusive — were a recurring subject in interviews Michael gave throughout his life.
