Captain EO premieres at Disneyland

Captain EO premieres at Disneyland in Pasadena, California, following its Epcot debut.

The Disney attraction placed Michael inside a theme-park and film context at a time when he was between Thriller and Bad. It helped maintain his public presence without a new studio album release, combining music, cinema, technology and theme-park spectacle.
