Freddie Mercury (Farrokh Bulsara, 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was the lead singer of British rock band Queen. He and Michael Jackson recorded a duet version of “State of Shock” in the early 1980s, but the recording was shelved when scheduling conflicts prevented its release; the song was later recut as a Jackson 5 single with Mick Jagger in 1984. Three demo recordings (including “There Must Be More to Life Than This”) were officially released in 2014 on Queen’s Queen Forever compilation.
